Third Space is a concept rooted in the environments we seek out other than home and work; Cafes, clubs, bars, church, libraries, and anywhere else with a defined sense of place other than home and work. Man-caves and she-sheds are exhibitions of the concept, although not as universally accepted by these labels.
Some 3rd spaces are anchors of community life, and others are where we seek refuge from work and home to contemplate, compose, or otherwise focus on our own thoughts and maintain a healthy perspective of both home and work life.
