The paradox of deciding where to live pulls us between ensuring a safe and accessible environment, and maintaining a sense of freedom and independence close to family and caretakers. Another factor of growing importance is the real financial burden of caretakers and senior living options. A severe shortage of quality staffing, increasing healthcare costs, and a growing senior population is overly burdensome to our longer life spans.

As the federal government re-orients healthcare funding to home-healthcare models in order to tackle long-term affordability, Sideflats predicts that we'll see an increasing number of private care providers supporting seniors in their homes later in life.
